January, 2009:
- Brian Short, KC0BS, gave an interesting presentation of APRS. He covered all one needs to know to get
started in APRS including its history, hardware, software
and functional applications to Disaster and Public event
communications.
- Rob Underwood, K0RU, discussed his recent experience evaluating side-by-side the merits of the Elecraft K3, the Yaesu FT-2000 and several other current transceivers.
- The Constitution Committee (Tom - N0AG; Rob - K0RU; Bill - K0VBU) presented propoposed changes to the club's constitution.
February, 2009
- TO5DX 2008 DX/Contest Expedition presentation. Jim, K0RH, of Wichita, KS spole.
- Tom, N0AG, presented Part II of his antenna and tower program.
- Jeff, AC0C, made an excellent presentation about stealth antennas.
March, 2009
Jeff, AC0C, made another excellent presentation, this time about his conversion of an SB-200 to a full legal limit amplifier. Perform this conversion at your own risk (physical, mental and financial!)
April, 2009
- Duncan, KU0DM, QST youth editor, gave an excellent presentation about bringing young people into the hobby, emphasizing the radiosport aspects of ham radio.
- Bill, K0VBU, gave a brief talk about Boy Scouts and Amateur Radio, and descibed his summer camp radio demonstrations.
